The Prestige / Radical and the Metallix are diametrically on opposite ends. The Metallix was designed for the recreational and/or game improvement segment of the tennis-playing public while the Prestige / Radical are performance sticks aimed toward players with a higher skill level.  If you feel you’re playing up to par with your current sticks, you will not like the Metallix nor will it give you any extra performance benefits. I’m not saying that the Metallix is a lousy racket; it just serves a different purpose for a different player.

You can take it if it’s free, but being a tennis player, I think the racket would serve its purpose better if it is given to someone who can benefit from it.

I’m on the East Coast, so I don’t know any West Coast members although I remember corresponding with a West Coast guy thru PTO a while back.

Obviously a classic racket in the same vein as Prince’s Graphite and Wilson’s ProStaff 6.0. Ratings regarding tennis equipment are highly subjective, hence what works for one player does not necessarily work for another. However, when we talk about performance sticks, the ProStaff, the Graphite and the Prestige seems to be the benchmark for both manufacturers and players. It’s funny that while manufacturers are screaming new-tech, they’re trying to stay old-school.

A couple of years ago, I liked the LM Prestige enough to play with it for 8 months. These days, I’m back to playing with custom-built Vantage sticks after fooling around with the nBlade and kBlade for a few months.
