What is the policy of PTO regarding products being advertised here and sold? I have seen some post of products for sale. I believe that it is the best interest of PTO members that the seller indicates what kind of warranty he is offering. Nowadays, there are alot of counterfeit or fake rackets being sold in the market. These sellers get their rackets abroad daw. These products wether gunuine or fake does not have warranties. Remember warranty is only valid in place of purchase. I would suggest that PTO would have a rating or would rate the sellers of PTO for the benefit of the PTO members. This would be based on replies of buyers. Lastly, the seller should indicate wether he is an authorized distributor or dealer of the brand because it is easy to say na may warranty. If your not authorized by the manufacturer, saan galing yung product warranty mo?

You're right sir Renald but some instances, it would depend on how the buyer and seller interacts to deal. For example, if one is selling a 2nd hand or rackets taken from abroad, definitely warranties to the racket manufacturer does not apply here. Most PTO buy/sell transactions I believe are friendly deals and so far, their were no problems. Kung meron man reklamo, I don't know kung merong PTO bylaws covering such issue. Baka merong bylaws si Darkwing na puwedeng iadapt dito...... As for you sir Renald, most PTO members know that you're selling legit products.... What we would like to ask you if it's possible, and I believe it will help you alot, is to create your product listing site(for simplicity using the Photobucket is enough) of all your products including the price. Please indicate also your warranty clauses and product certifications if you have... Thank you sir.

Equipment warranty is only valid if the racket was bought from an authorized dealer. Warranty claims are usually made thru the authorized dealer where the racket was purchased from. Authorized dealers are empowered by the manufacturers to evaluate the warranty claim and have the necessary proof of purchase information to validate the claim. If the racket was purchased elsewhere and brought to the manufacturer or its authorized dealer for a warranty claim, proof of purchase and/or prior product registration (thru completing and mailing an enclosed warranty card or completing a warranty form online immediately after purchasing the racket) will be required. The responsibility falls upon the sellers to make full disclosures about the items they’re selling and the buyers to do their due diligence before completing the transaction. The PTO cannot possibly know what the buyers' ulterior motives are. The only thing it can do is to issue a disclaimer and/or a caveat emptor statement regarding buy-sell-trade transactions made thru its site, and kick out any member involved in fraudulent practices. The PTO cannot and should not be held responsible for any deals gone sour. This is, after all, a public forum and the PTO has no financial interest in these transactions. It would be safe to assume that items being offered for sale by individuals who are neither authorized dealers nor representatives of authorized dealers are not covered by any manufacturer's warranty. It is well within the PTO's rights to stipulate that no dealers, whether authorized or not, are allowed to sell their goods here, if it chooses to. The PTO is also well within its rights to charge dealers, wholesalers, retailers and the like an "advertising fee" for the privilege of offering their goods for sale on its site. Someone has to pay for the site maintenance, right?

pasingit lang po.. just wanted to thank sir Renald for the dunlop aerogel 200 i bought from him last thursday. i got it last night and hit with it earlier and i just love it. honestly, im really uncomfortable with non "kaliwaan" transactions since it opens up a lot of chances to get one-up'd on or scammed but, i decided to leave my comfort zone and buy the racquet from him and im really glad that i did. the service was simply excellent and the whole transaction a pleasant experience. i've no qualms in recommending him to anybody looking to buy quality tennis equipment. more power to you sir and hope to do business with you again. thanks again!

The site could very well implement a PTO Accredited Merchant tittle on anyone who would wish to pay the accreditation but it would entail a lot ol legal aspects which needs to be covered. But with our current sittuation it would be more prudent to consider most transactions done by members of the board as solely private business dealings. PTO should not be held liable for any transactions gone sour.
