Philippines is competing the Asia Group 2 which will start in January 30 in China. Team Members are Clarice Patrimonio, Bambi Zoleta, Marian Capadocia and Tammy Nguyen.
Group 2 includes Hongkong, Oman, India, Iran, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Kyrgyztan, Turkmenistan. Winner gets promoted to Asia Group 1 next year.
I think we are eyeing a 3rd place or 4th place finish here.

Karl Santamaria Philippines is in Pool B, which is the tougher group with India, Turkmenistan, Oman, and Iran. India and Oman with its world class players will be tough. |

Nguyen/Patrimonio beat Halliyeva/Prenko 6-1;6-1
Based from the two lossess of Patrimonio, it seems that she has a game to overpower oponents but not the consistency.
Tough India next.

PH playing India today for Pool B. If PH wins, the girls will play against the winner of Pool A for the promotion to Asia/Ocenia Zone Group 1 in 2013. Its hard to imagine that at one time we were at the World Group stage already.
Bambi Zoleta is not playing. In her place, its Maika Tanpoco. I've played her a few times and hits it hard, magaling din.

Nguyen lost to Bhosale 2-6;3-6
Patrimonio beat Bhambri 3-6;6-4;6-2
Mirza/Lakani beat Patrimonio/Ngyuen 6-0;6-1
The should have let Capadocia play instead of Nguyen. Capadocia is a better singles and doubles player.
Battle is now for 3rd place versus Kyrgystan.
