No big deal. It's the same stick with a new paintjob.

Well, I'll still buy. Then, probably after awhile, I would know if it is really not a big deal.

Every racket manufacturer comes up with periodic updates and minor tweaks to keep the product line fresh. For those who use the Pure Drive, of course, the build up of anticipation is expected. Babolat wants to keep you as a customer. They have to give you something to look forward to. The pros will get their old rackets with a new paintjob. That's just business. I'm unemotional when it comes to rackets. If the specs are what I'm looking for and it plays the way I like it to, then it doesn't matter who makes it, what's in it, or whether or not some tennis pro endorses it. A new paintjob and an inverted cortex wasn't enough of a game-changer for me. What's interesting is that I preferred the Donnay Formula 100, which is a Pure Drive clone (same mold minus the woofer, gt and cortex).

Hindi nanganghulugan na we buy new things because of emotion alone. Kung walang emotion, siguro robot or computer.

You could not call Donnay formula 100 a clone of Pure Drive without the GT, cortex and other technology in it.

A lot of the “upgrades” have been planned years ahead of it’s release and are introduced incrementally as part of the product's life-cycle management and marketing strategy. Like I said, it’s just business. Sometimes, an upgrade is a re-hash of old tech in a new package. For instance, Prince played around with this tungsten stuff back in 1999. I love racket tech regardless of where it comes from, but I prefer substance over hype.

Well, here you go: no GT, no cortex, no woofer, no tech

It's just a fancy term for vibration dampener.
