So... I got my hands on a couple of unbranded prototypes...

This is known as the Black Racquet, and I got Prototype #3 (the latest ones, I suppose) of models 98 and 98T.

It's all black and the design is reminiscent of the angular surfaces of the "Stealth Fighter".  There are some Babolat Aero design elements on the shaft, but the head's cross-section has the old "pyramid" design from Head from many years ago.

The unknown company behind this is a guarded secret, but many suspect it's Babolat due to the Aero design cues. I'm looking at the buttcap and it looks a lot like Wilson's. Could it be a Wilson knock-off of the Bab Aero (The Wilson Surge was a Pure Drive knock-off)? Or could it be the new generation Bab Aero?

All will be revealed this month, I guess.

Meanwhile, here are the weblink and their facebook page:

Been playtesting these sticks on and off for the past couple of weeks.  As much as I like the stealth design concept and the all-black paint scheme, it didn't do enough for me.

I preferred the 98 model over the tour version 98T, but there seems to be a good amount of flex in the head section which I think hinders it's performance. If this can be addressed in the final production model, I'd give it another go. In it's current specs, however, I'd say it's not enough for me to drop the Donnay Formula, which I feel gives me a better performance.

The big reveal is scheduled for tomorrow.
