Hello to Everybody,

Happy New Year to all of you and your love ones, may the coming year 2012 be more brighter and more blessed for all of us and for Philippine Tennis.

For your kind info we will be leaving for Israel to play 3 Men's Pro Futures in Eilat to jump start our campaign in improving our ATP ranking. Our goal this year is to break top 500 in the world rankings and hopefully go further in the men's draw, maybe also winning our 1st Pro tournament. These tournaments in Eilat will also serve us part of our preparation for the upcoming Davis Cup Tie next year Feb. in Iriga against Pacific Oceania.

Jeson is now in the main draw of the 1st leg while Marc Reyes is in the qualifying. One reason why I chose to play here in Israel it's because the majority of the players are Europeans. It is very important for Jeson and Marc's çontinued development as a Pro to compete against different types and styles of players in different continents of the world if we really want to excel in the Tour. Some of the Europeans competing in Israel are batch mates of Jeson in the juniors like Dominic Thiem of Austria who was th finalist in the French Open Juniors this year but lost to Jeson in Thailand 2 years ago on hard courts and Horansky of the Czech Republic the Italian Open Juniors champion. Both these players are ranked in the top 10 in the world juniors and they took the same path as Jeson turning Pro.

Last June and July of this year we competed in the tough US and Mexico Pro circuit and we gained ATP points over there by beating some of the top US College and Pro players who regularly competes in these circuits after going through 128 qualifying draws.  This experience playing tough matches day in and day out in the US and Mexico paved the way and prepared Jeson for his 1st Davis Cup victory against Jimmy Wang of Taipei who is currenly ranked in the top 100 plus in the ATP and a former top 80 player. Plus the knowledge we have learned from our opponents and our belief in our own capabilities as a player showed that we can compete and win against these Pros.

In October of this year we played the circuits in Thailand and Laos against the best in Asia and again we did not come out empty handed with Jeson reaching the quarterfinals of singles in Thailand for the first time loosing only in 3 tough sets to Rochette of France who eventually won the tournament beating Jimmy Wang of Taipei in straight sets in the finals.

Our dream of someday competing in the men's Grand Slam singles is not out of reach. We have done it before in the juniors and I believe we have the talent and determination to make this dream a reality. With continued training, coaching and International competitions Jeson and Marc will definitely mature into top Pro players in the near future.

Until next time God bless to all and a very Blessed and Happy New Year.

Yours truly,
Coach Manny Tecson

Thanks for the post, it gives great inside info and insights on the tour. Hope to see pinoy players in slams again soon, best of luck to them!

All the best Coach Manny Tecson and for the people behind your campaign. I was able to chat with Jeson while you were at the airport. We are proud of you!
