Hello PTO!

We set up a website for entering and viewing PTO match scores.  You can see it at : www.ptoscores.com .
Anybody is welcome to play around with it. For now, you can do data entry for player/event/match scores only.

Viewing scores and other stats will be added soon.

The website is pretty barebones and with minimal error-checking for now.
It will also periodically change as more features are added along the way.
Hopefully the site will be good enough to use for tournaments and matches starting in December.
Later on, the data entered in this site can be used for rating/ranking purposes, like seeding in tournaments.

Please check it out, and post any feedback on this forum thread.

i am assuming that later on there will be a login page especially for users who will be maintaining and entering scores. if so, then may be the verification code can be removed for each record entered.

Another suggestion...
On Event, I hope that entries (players) can be recorded here as well. Doing this in the forum (adding, updating and deleting entries) is messy. And I hope commenting will be enabled (though we can do this part in this forum though).

On Match Scores: Will the site cover doubles too? If so, how do we go about it?

Great points, Francis.

For maintaining player entries in an event in ptoscores.com, I'm not sure yet.  I agree it's a little messy doing that in the forum, but maybe we'll have to live with that for the meantime.  I'll keep this item in view.

For doubles, I'll make a new form for score entry, based on the existing one for singles.  This one should be available soon.

Just a rough schedule on this project ( pls bear w/ the conservative pace, it's a one-man show for now ) :

December:
Enter events, players, match scores, and view all data entered in tabular form.
Players listing sorted by match wins/loss (separate listings for doubles and singles)

January:
View individual player's match score history.

Future (no timing yet):
Corrections to entries (for now, please notify me of any entry corrections.  I will make a submission form for this)
Automated updates to players' ratings based on match results.
