First round results:

Marc Reyes beat Pruchya Isarow 4-6;6-3;6-2
Jeson Patrombon beat Jun Woong Sun 4-6;7-5;7-6 (5)

Good wins especially for Jeson... Jun a veteran Korean Davis Cup player reach no. 4 in juniors a few years back and was as high as 230's in Seniors.

Lajola will probably play No. 1 for the Philippines in the sea games. With Lajola No. 1, Mamiit No. 2 and Huey/Mamiit for the doubles... there is a big chance of winning the gold in the men's team competitions.

I thought Lajola is out of the SEA games?

This is the article I read about Lajola:

Fil-Am out of SEA Games
November 3, 2011, 10:47pm

MANILA, Philippines — The campaign of the Philippine men’s tennis team suffered a major blow after the United States Tennis Association (USTA) denied the request of Fil-American Dennis Lajola to play in the SEA Games.

As a result, Lajola, who is ranked No. 683 in the world, was dropped from the team – nine days before the start of the biennial meet in Palembang, Indonesia.

"He communicated rather belatedly that he was not given the green light to play for the SEAG by the USTA, which trains him," said Philippine Tennis Association (Philta) secretary general and SEAG co-chief of mission Romeo Magat said in a statement.

Veteran Davis Cupper Johnny Arcilla will replace the 21-year-old Lajola. —Kristel Satumbaga

Out na pala siya... malas naman. With this scenario Jeson (because of rank) might play no. 1, Mamiit No. 2 then Mamiit/Huey for the doubles.. Malaki pa rin ang chance dahil best of 3 ang team competitions.  Grin

Results: 2nd round

Patrombon beat Sornbutnark (Thai) 6-0;6-4 will play French player Rochette in the quaterfinals. Tough assignment Jeson is 0-2 against Rochette.

Lajola beat Nam (Kor) 6-1;6-2 will play Jimmy Wang next which is another tough assignment.

Both lost:

Jeson lost to Rochette 6-0;2-6;3-6
Lajola lost to Wang 3-6;2-6.
