Hopefully I'll have something set up this month, even if only a simple one.
I can coordinate with the tournament organizer.

just got home from my visit to Toro Hills Tennis ala ATP na kort hehe kapagod biyahe pero worth it...kaloko pla feeling kapag hindi used sa hardkort kakaiba bounce at feel ng bola at palo..anyway i enjoyed...thanks to kuya louie (tama nga ba?) nanalo kami sa unang dobols na nilaro ko...thnx to marky rin for being very accomodating..sorry partner natalo tau  bawi na lang tau sa sunod!  anyway i came to see doc-rafa so he could assess my tennis and sadly hindi kami nagkakilala..i think nandun xa coz everyone was calling a certain someone as doc...(xa kaya un?)..anyway busy xa sa pagorganize nung intercolor tourney ata so hindi ko na nilapitan..nahiya me hehhe...pasenxa na may naiwan ata din akong kalat jan sorry po... anyhow to end this...lemme just say..now i understand kung bakit sabi nila inaabot tlga cla ng madaling araw kakalaro hehe at alam ko na kung bakit matindi ang tennis scene jan heheh dahil mga addictus mga tao sa palo hehhe ...thnx to everyone! |

TORO CHAMPIONSHIPS 2012 RULES AND GUIDELINES: First and foremost, tennis tournament rules are made to maximize the enjoyment of the players. By sticking to these rules, we can all have fun and minimize the aggravation sometimes involved with scheduling and playing tournament matches. I. Registration
1. To qualify you must belong to the NTRP bracket specified for the event. If the player has no NTRP rating yet, the organizers of the tournament will instruct the player on how he can be assessed prior to the tournament date. Failure to comply will mean automatic disqualification from the tournament.
2. Tournament Fee costs 500php per participant in the singles event and 600php/pair in the doubles event which will cover the event’s overhead expenses (court fees, balls, ball boy fees, trophies, food and miscellaneous).
3. Fees can be deposited under Raul G. Panti Jr. BDO savings account # 4070003455. Kindly notify Mr. Panti (09178804318/raul_jr_md@yahoo.com) once you’ve deposited your registration fee. Your machine verified deposit slips will serve as your proof of payment. Bring your deposit slips for confirmation on the day of the tournament. Deadline of payment is on December 31, 2012.
4. Registration is ongoing. Please sign your name on the thread in PTO dedicated to this tournament. The deadline of registration is on December 15, 2011. Those joining the doubles competition and have listed TBA as their partner must declare the name of their partner before the aforementioned date or their reservation slot will be given to another group.
5. The tournament organizers reserve the right to deny players, not compliant with the rules, entry in the official line-up of players.
6. The tournament organizers reserves the right to use any photographs, videotapes, motion pictures or recordings of this event as they may deem fit. |

II. Venue/Schedule of Events
1. The tournament will be a two day event held at the Toro Hills Tennis Courts located on #2 Road 19 Barangay Bahay Toro Project 8, QC near Congressional Ave on January 14-15, 2012 (Saturday-Sunday). In case of tournament cancellation/delays the tournament will be re-scheduled/ continued the following weekend and so forth until all the matches have been played out.
2. Due to time restrictions, the tournament program will promptly start at 6:30am then immediately followed by the tournament proper. Each player is given a maximum allowance of 15 min to appear when their match is called or they will be immediately defaulted. Re-scheduling of matches to accommodate late players will NOT be allowed.
3. The Official tournament line-up and match draws estimated time of play will be posted on the website on January 8, 2012 .
4. Breakfast, Lunch and a late merienda will be served to all participants of tournament. A 1 hour lunch break and 30min merienda break will be observed during the tournament. A post-tournament victory party will be held immediately after the awarding ceremonies.

III. Match Format/Rules
Tournament Format: Single Knockout Elimination
1. All matches except for the doubles match, the semi-finals and finals will be a Race to 6 Regular Scoring-Tiebreak with NO limits on the amount of Deuces played.
2. All doubles matches and Semi-final matches will be played Race to 8 Regular Scoring-Tiebreak with NO limits on the amount of Deuces played.
3. The finals match will be played Race to 10 Regular Scoring-Tiebreak with NO limits on the amount of deuces played
4. All matches are officiated. Umpire’s decision is FINAL. NO appeals will be entertained.
5. The game starts with a photo shoot then a toss coin to decide who gets to serve first.
6. All players will be given 5-minute rally time (inclusive of groundstrokes, volleys & serves). After each match, the players must immediately vacate the court to allow the next match to continue.
7. Players changes court every odd score with no rest/bathroom breaks in between points. They may however get quick sips of water/2min breathers during changeovers. During the Finals Match a 15 minute breather/restroom break will be observed after the 10th consecutive game has been played.
8. If a match is interrupted for any reason, play is resumed from the point of interruption.
9. In cases of injuries, the player injured is given only 5 minutes (medical timeout) to decide whether he/she will continue to play. The Toro Hills Tennis Club/ PTO and Tournament Organizers will NOT be held accountable for any and all injuries arising from the tournament. Every participant will be asked to sign a waiver before playing in the events.
10. Standard ATP rules will apply except for the above exceptions.
