Two-handed backhand looks cool in tennis, especially on a winning shot.
In Table Tennis you would probably look like an idiot doing TH-BH! LOL, 'never seen anyone do it.
On OH-BH there's seems to be some skill transfer between Table Tennis and Tennis: namely, topspin and slice.  Smiley

2h-bh in table tennis seems interesting topic.   i found this video:

the guy is a tennis player (obvious in his stroke, and shoes) Smiley

I use a single backhand. Smiley It works well for me so far and I like the reach and versatility to it.

I've been trying so hard with a double backhand but I can never do it. xD Maybe in the future?  laugh

I have both. Learned with OHB, developed a THB, was forced to re-learn a OHB when I fractured a finger in my left hand, and can now play with both in a game.

i envy your circumstance, makinao Smiley .  now you are a rare player who has two kinds of backhands (and a stronger finger!)

btw, have you guys seen Federer's 2hbh?  Here it is:

Yep it is more highlighted on Forehand than the backhand... TT BH are more of flicks and the preparation is sort of your body facing the ball, not sideways....  Wink Wink Wink  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy  Grin Grin Grin

Sa return din, most of the great returners eh 2 hander talaga.

I think all your points are correct, Guga!  I tried the 2hbh before, and can attest to what you said about high bouncing balls.
With 2h, you can just feel the solid power coming from the torso, it's like all you need is to put your arms out to meet the ball.  Not so much in 1h, as you have to compensate by spinning the ball, like Fed does.  And with 2h, you can still do 1h for stretch lobs.
I wish I could learn 2h, but i'm stuck with 1h (too old to learn) Smiley  i love the quick spin access to 1h too.

Yup pare, tapus sa 1hbh eh dapat tama and stable yung stance mo. Dapat maganda rin ang knee bend to generate a good power.

Grin

One handed shifted from two handed 5 years ago... getting too old for hitting tow handed Grin Actually i decided to shift more for aesthetic value.  During team events I would watch the >50 age group and a one hander is more graceful and it gives you more variety, have you seen a 60 or a 70 year old play with a two handed backhand... not as nice  Smiley

Well cguro kasi more on placing na yung focus sa laro, yung power halos wala na.

Yung 1 handed medyo oldskul, kaya kahit d kalakasan eh maganda tingnan at graceful. Smiley

I will never change to 2H backhand.  My 1H backhand compliments my style of play.  I serve and volley.  I always want to finish the point at the net.  If a see a short low ball coming to my left, I slice it low and do the carioca steps to approach the net. Most often  than not, I win the point.  Have you seen a 2H backhander do this?  1H bh also developes into a good backhand volley. It not an old school thing. I have beaten players better than me in gound strokes, players a lot younger than me.  They prefer to hug the baseline.

I started with OH-BH then switched to TH-BH coz I was afraid my right arm (dominant) will bulk-up more vs my left (now, I think i was just being silly and vain.. oh well)
