The Henry Lee Memorial cup tournament dates is on March 26-31, 2011 and the deadline is March 20 at 12:00noon. Matches start on March 26 at 8:00am.

If anyone wishes to enter their kids, contact Bobby Manungay asap at his mobile number (0915)404-6464.

On another note, unfortunately we wont be able to enter our kid due to conflicting schedule with her school Recognition Day. However we will try to come down for other summer tournaments. I would like to meet other PTO tennis parents and share experiences about raising big happy smiling tennis kids..

According to the schedule, Next up for Manila area Juniors is a busy tournament week with choices of overlapping/conflicting schedulings of nearby tournaments Apr 11-17 Angeles City; Apr14-18 Milo Jrs - Phil Am; and Apr16-20 San Pablo.

Obviously if one goes deep into the draw of the first no choice to pull out of others.. (hopefully we will have to pull out.. heh heh)

How did your kid do? My daughter lost twice to Akiko sa 16U and 18U semis.

She did not go "deep into the draw" but we'll try our luck again at a couple of other tournaments.. Anyway she's 8 so hopefully its mainly a good experience for her, (not to mention for us tennis parents heh heh) Btw, what's next up for your daughter? If our paths cross at some tourney I'll introduce myself.

Hope we cross paths at 1st Gen which begins tomorrow. Cant seem to get a start time schedule for Anna as we found out sched will be released after opening ceremonies at 8am. I suppose after that they'll put the 10U on first so hopefully we wont have to wait long before her match.

Honesty should start from the adults, I admire kids who are honest than cheating winners. Unfortunately, even the coaches teach their kids to cheat intentionally. They say that its part of tennis. Even internationally they cheat, according to coaches. Indians are notoriouse cheaters according to jrs who have played this kind of tournaments.

As a parent, I cannot accept this reasoning. I still believe that character building is more important in life than winning tennis matches.

What no umpires? Then the players has the option to call whatever they want....
What even ATP players do this in the presence of umpires....hehehhe.. remember Serena vs Justin Henin(2003 Roland Garros)?
And the Fernando Gonzalez vs James Blake(2008 Olympics).....but I don't have a copy of the video to verify this.
Also even umpires make mistakes....but the rules stays based on their calls.....

sa code of ethics (in tennis social games)- you call the shots of balls that lands on your playing court. Call it as you see it without doubt. kung di ka sigurado- that's IN.

Between the junior players themselves they know too who are kids that are "madaya". And i pity them for they'll be branded until they overgrow the sports. ung mga kids pa naman ngayon, madami madalas nasa isip "natalo ako kasi dinaya ako"! 

For the parents and supporters naman - hehehe, sports-sports lang. dami pikon sa atin.
