Did anyone see the finals yesterday between Raonic and Verdasco? That Canadian kid (Raonic) is amazing, could be the next Pete Sampras with his bullet serves. The only part of his game that needs improvement (in my opinion) is the backhand, otherwise he is well on his way to becoming a Top 10 player. Changing of the guard is imminent!

Also saw the Soderling/Tsonga finals in Rotterdam. Nice win for the Swede!

Milos is a embodiment of the modern day complete tennis player. He is Federrer, Roddick, Djokivic and Nadal combined!  Grin

Immediately after the SAP Open, Raonic and Verdasco met again during the first round of the Memphis Tournament. Same result, Raonic won but this time in 3 sets. I'm about to watch the semifinal match between Raonic and Fish. Roddick and Del Potro will play the other semis.

You're right, Raonic may not be as good as Verdasco on clay...

with the right coaching staff and physical conditioning, Raonic maybe the next big thing in Pro Tennis. Dolgopolov can also be a shoe in for a future top 10 considering the damages he did to most top seeds today  Grin

Raonic is in the finals and will play Roddick. Barring an injury he might put men's tennis up another level just like what Federer did a few years ago.

Raonic's coach (Blanco) who is Spaniard and a clay court specialist might help him play better on clay, 'cause his type of game is more suited for hard court and grass (like Sampras'). I think his greatest challenge will be staying fit and injury-free, otherwise he should be able to crack the Top 10 in no time... Dolgopolov is also a potential Top 10 contender, he is a gritty player (like Nalbandian).

watching milos raonic vs andy roddick @ memphis finals. going to 3rd set na. roddick should have finish the match on the 2nd set pero ngyon delikado na sya kay raonic.

btw, there are parts of the match na boring kc palitan lang ng ace at unreturned serves... kung puro serve sila sana nag WAITER na lang sila sa restaurant hahah just kidding!

im going for RAONIC on this match! hayaan mo idol pa din naman kita arod Cheesy

Didn't see tne game because I was out playing tennis Grin Heard that Roddick won in a tight 3-setter. Glad to see him win his first title of the year. He and Ryan Harrison also played doubles but lost in the quarters, I think.

Top 10 players should be worried if they face Raonic in the early rounds of any tournament.

roddick on raonic after winning the memphis finals 2011:

“He’s as exciting of a talent as we’ve seen in a while,” said Roddick. “The good thing for him is he’s going to be able to learn on the job because that serve is going to win him a lot of matches, even if he goes up and down with the rest of his play. It’s one of the bigger serves I’ve seen. I still think he can learn a lot about playing the game, but it won’t surprise me if he’s Top 10 sooner rather than later.”

Saw the replay of Roddick-Raonic finals. What an amazing shot by Roddick in the third set to win the match. He even fell down, rolled over and dropped his cap after making the shot. Na-expose tuloy yung thinning hair niya  laugh laugh. Well deserved victory for ARod to keep him entrenched in the Top 10.
