http://www.hdtennis.com/grs/pro_racquet_specs.html - Pro Racket Specs. Ang bibigat ng mga raketa!

When looking at the pro specs, notice that the swingweight is customized to be higher than stock.

While some people believe that swingweight is less important than swingspeed, apparently pro players believe in the importance of swingweight relative to their swingspeed. It’s not about which is more important than the other; it’s about striking the right balance between swingspeed and swingweight for each player.

True, higher swing weight means more power provided that the swing speed is maintained. Since pro's are stronger than the regular joes, they can afford to use a heavier swing weight. There is no striking a right balance between swing speed and swing weight. Do you mean to say you have to reduce swing speed and increase swing weight or vice versa? Or when you optimize swing weight, swing speed will suffer? You have to maximize swing speed no matter what. Using right swing weight will only enhance power. Just compare an average joe with customized swing weight racket and Federer using a stock k61 tour, which do you think will hit stronger?

babolat3216 Paano to, I promised not to say another word.  Grin

-- use the heaviest racket you can handle
-- striking the right balance between swingweight and swingspeed for each player
-- optimizing swingweight relative to a player's swingspeed

Kung may nalalabuan sa mga concept na ito, just ask and I will explain, but we must do it in another thread kasi off-topic na tayo dito. I think I already made my point on this issue and I really don't want to engage in a pissing contest* here. I would rather address our players concerns. So, if babolat3216 and others are interested to see how this issue turns out, perhaps one of you can open a new thread on the subject of swingspeed vs. swingweight.  Wink

*pissing contest - meaningless though nonetheless entertaining event or act in which people try to outdo one another.

Jov - That's a very good question and for sure racketwiz have an answer. he may have answered the same on his other posts. Anyway, you may need to open a new thread for that para di tayo OT. And if your question is directed to racketwiz only pwede mo din siyang i-PM na lang.

Everyone - I have quoted the post of the topic starter. And as suggested by racketwiz sa earlier post niya on this topic, please open a new thread para di tayo off-topic.

Hi,  you could post what racquets and strings you use here in this thread... Feel free to post pictures... ^_^

Quote
-- optimizing swingweight relative to a player's swingspeed
Swingweight is relative to players strength not swingspeed. Two players can have the same max swing speed but would react differently to added weight. One players swingspeed may be affected by the added weight but the other may maintain the same swing speed.

compared to my old LM Radical MP, for me:
