Do you want to join a program for intermediates? Conditioning drills from day one Up to 5 hours of on-court drills A structured program that won't allow you to be lazy. You would be pushed to your limit and complaining is not allowed. You would be sequestered and housed for one whole week in an undisclosed location outside of Metro Manila till your graduation. If you think you're ready for this then start filing for a leave from your work cause a Tennis Training Camp is in the works. This will be held 2nd week of January. Very Limited Slots of 10 Trainees will be accepted. Reservation will be on a first come, first served basis.

sabi kasi nung trainer sa Citadella, pang competitive na daw yung training na dapat sakin and medyo malayo daw po yun sa intermidiate and advanced. well, I really can't say kasi if I compare how I play with other 4.0's sa PTO, hindi pa yata ako aabot ng 4.0. Baka mga 3.75 lang or slightly higher than 3.5 lang po in terms of consistency. Yung training na ginawa natin during our PTO anniv, pang intermediate po ba yun? Oh I see. Matindi na pala level mo pre. Maybe next time we'll be able to offer something for competitive level players as well.

so based from that trainer's assessment, tingin ko tuloy 4.0 and above pang competitive na ang training na binibigay? I'm no trainer so I really don't know how to differentiate training levels. Maybe some of our certified trainers can give their advice? well, I really can't say kasi if I compare how I play with other 4.0's sa PTO, hindi pa yata ako aabot ng 4.0. SA: I'm not a trainer as well but I believe players of different levels can pick up a thing or two when doing drills. I've scanned youtube and saw even aspiring pros do the same drills we did during the Anniversary. Here's an article I found regarding consistency and Competitive Training. Disadvantages of Competitive Tennis Training
Improving at tennis involves two types of training and drills: non-competitive and competitive. Competitive training includes all sorts of drills and exercises where you keep score. You can compete against yourself by trying to improve the number of shots hit beyond the service line using just 10 balls, for example. Or you can compete against an opponent by playing game situations or tie-breaks, sets and practice matches. All these exercises and approaches are necessary in order to develop into a successful, competitive tennis player – whether you just play recreational tournaments or junior tennis, or are going on the ATP tour. But competitive training also has disadvantages, which inevitably will show themselves if a player constantly engages in competitive situations that put him under pressure. Non-competitive tennis training is part of a perfect balancing act that helps negate the negative consequences of lots of training under pressure. Non-competitive training also offers many key benefits that people often overlook; and these are, in my opinion, crucial for developing a smooth, steady technique and a calm mind. You can learn about non-competitive play’s key advantages in the second part of this article, but let's first look at the possible and most common problems that hamper players’ development and success when they engage in too much competitive play. Negative Consequences of Competitive Tennis TrainingAlthough competitive training offers many benefits, it also presents some negative effects that, sooner or later, start to affect a player. 1. Tension – resulting in the loss of fluid movement A player under mental stress experiences tension in his body, which prevents relaxed movement. Effortless and fluid motion (footwork, movement, strokes, etc.) comes from an optimally relaxed body. This relaxation is never complete, of course – a player during a point cannot be limp! – but some degree of relaxation allows a player to perform his actions well, quickly and with little effort.

Survey lang, how much do you think is affordable for a 7 Day Tennis Camp, inclusive of lodging (7days, 7 nights stay) , food (bale 3 meals yun at kung may extra meryenda) and yung actual training (use of the courts, trainer etc.)?

If we can narrow down expenses to a minimum, say 2-3k, mas maganda sana sir DW. I'm not sure about court fees, lodging because hindi ko alam kung saan ung location and how much the fees are. As for food I think hindi naman lalagpas ng 100-150 pesos per day ang magagastos per person. But I'm sure 2-3k is still expensive. sana mapababa pa...

But I don't think that is feasible, unless may makuha tayong sponsor. Maybe you can recommend a place that can house 10 persons for 7 days and 7 nights, with a mess hall for us to eat in, kitchen where we can prepare meals, an area where the group can hang out during recreation time, and a private court for our use without any distraction that will charge us less than 150 per person per day. Then the rest will go to trainer's fees, pulot, cook and dishwasher.
