Bakit hindi natin umpisan?  Disiplina at determinasyon lang yan at syempre may club dapat.  hehehe.  Sayang lang pre kung practice tayo ng practice pero di tayo sasali sa mga club tournaments or invitational na mga ganyan.  buo muna tayo club.

sa amateur team tennis event, categories are ladies 30 and above, Mens 40 to 49 category, 50-54, 55-59, and 60 above. 
sa regular team tennis (all men's event), open doubles (karamihan mga ntrp 4.5 above ung naka-lineup), 30 above, 40 above, 50 above, 80 above (combined age / 30 y.o. minimum age of one player)


magbuo na for next year! malay natin at baka magka-opening and me mag-invite.

I hope makabuo for the players sa south.  Uwi ako next year and I'm from Las Pinas.  Moonwalk to be exact.  Di na kasi ako inantay ni edreams

Yes, ung member pa ako sa mandaluyong.  Ang mga players namin mga former national players.  Kaya plagi nsa finals against PCA club.  Malalakas talaga sila.

Sana maglaro sina Mamiit and Huey para makita naman silang in action against our local players.

napanood namin exhibition match nila Mamiit and Johnny Arcilla. Medyo outclassed ng konti si Johnny sa power forehand ni Mamiit pero hindi din naman malayo yung score. Mamiit won during their exhibition game sa Alabang. =)

Sana maglaro sina Mamiit and Huey para makita naman silang in action against our local players.

Nov 21, 2010

Greenwoods team (Team Vegeta) won the Amateur Team Tennis championships.  Noli Aldanese of 56ers, who played in the 60 years and above category, was very instrumental on helping the team reach the final round.

The regular Team Tennis event started yesterday.  Greenwoods team (Team Whizzard) won the tie against the Bocaue team.  PTO's Bonns Umali and Joel Adayo, representing the team's Open category, played against Rolly Anasta and partner.  Tindi ng bakbakan and power play!

Also seen in the event was Airforce1/Diplomat who played for Villamor.  They were up against the Mandaluyong team.

In the girls junior event,  LVL's Louise won in straight sets 6-0, 6-4 against her opponent.

Draw for PCA open is already out. Mukang kasali si Marc Seiber.... may kalaban si Johnny. Seiber will open up with Nino Salvador at 1:00 p.m. today.

Finally able to see Seiber play... medyo magaling nga pero mahirap i gauge mahina kasi kalaban.

hindi ka mag ATP top 500 pag hindi ka magaling masilat lang si Seiber dito kasi galing siyang injury o di pa cya sanay sa court. hamak na kasing galing nya si Mamiit o mas magaling cya. Si Arcilla talagang llamado sa PCA dahil gamay niya ang init at court.

Men's Doubles Final: J. Arcilla/P.J. Tierro vs. M. Sieber/M.K. Barte.

I've seen Sieber played yesterday and I can say that Arcilla vs. Sieber championship match tomorrow, Sunday at 1:00 P.M. is an interesting game to watch.

Yup it will be interesting as this will also serve as the "unofficial" tryout for the remaining Davis Cup slot. Both players will play with a lot to prove (Seiber wants to play for the Philippine team while Arcilla wants to stay on it).

Prediction: If this goes 3 sets Seiber will win as he has the power and skill to blow Arcilla away.... but the longer the match goes, the more chances of Arcilla winning, Seiber looked like he was tiring towards the end of the Tierro match so if Arcilla manages to stay close in the first couple of sets and he might just snatch this one in 5.

Tryout? win or lose, dapat pasok si sieber based on his his high ATP rank and international experience. Si arcilla,nananalo lang sa pinas at pca, after that wala na...kaya lang nagkamedal si arcilla sa dahilan kampi niya si mamiit,Taino at Huey sa PH team, o pinasok cya sa davis cup sa dahilan no bearing match na. 22 anyos lang si sieber at 30 na si arcilla, dapat bigay na yan sa bata. sa tingin ko kahit si mamiit matatalo kay sieber. Batak si sieber sa labas at yan ang kailangan ng davis cup team laban sa hapon.

Panalo Sieber, competitive rin kahit papano pero iba talaga level ni sieber. Sieber vs Mamiit, yan ang magandang laban.

In the Arcilla/Seiber match the competition was much closer that the scoreline indicates- maganda naman pinakita ni Johnny ibang level lang talaga si Seiber.

Both Patrimonio sisters kailangan maging mas positive sa court pero ok naman yung laro medyo may tendency lang bumibigay lang sa mga crucial moments.

Kailangan natin si Seiber versus Japan without him di tayo mananalo lalo na pag naglaro si Nishikori.

Definitely..with Seiber in 1 or 2 singles and Mamiit and Huey in doubles and in Cebu, I predict a win by PH team no less.(as long as Kei Nishikori is out of the picture)

Lux, Kei Nishikori is playing.....but we have still a chance if we're mentally focus to beat the japanese....remember when we played 1995 at PCA. You beat Matsouka and he was quarterfinalist at wimbledon at that year. The point here is PREPARATION as TEAM.

We were lucky then, but Angelo is the real hero there Correct, Mental preparation, conditioning, faith in ourselves were the keys in winning that tie. Shuzo's team team were psyched out by the humidity,  heat and the crowd...I'm pretty sure Mamiit will prepare the team well.
