Maganda ito.  Dito sa Northern California bawat USTA sanctioned tournament held at different locations ay may pre-assigned points.  Depende sa laki ng draw.  Bawat round ay may assigned points na binibigay sa player.  After all the sanctioned tournaments are played for the calendar year, there is a Grand Prix tournament for each level held where only 8 players with the most number of points participate.  Parang yung end of the year Masters tournament ng mga pros.

I have an idea wherein all levels can play at the same given duration. Even the lowest NTRP 2.0 or as high as 5.0 (or high) can join this league provided they sign up to participate and promote camaraderie.
it will be formed into groups of 5, they'll play against each other in a 6 week duration. that means a maximum of 4 matches race to 8 or 10. Player 1 is tasked to call player 3 and 5 to make arrangement where thay can play. No need for umpires since we promote camaraderie. at the end of the macth, they'll post their score to be tabulated within the group. same case w/ Player 2 and the rest of the guys/ girls to make arrangement.
at the end of the league, game points accumulated will be totalled. and top 2 players of the group moves up 1 level, bottom 2 goes 1 level down. Middle stays within the group.
syempre, at first, all who'll sign-up will be grouped according to our member's NTRP. soiguro after 3 leagues, makikita mo kung sino ung nag-i-improved at sino ung hindi.
konting braso na lang, matapos ko ung rules and guidelines in few days. but since, this is a survey, it's the members who'll decide.

hi Meng, I'm still trying to get confirmation from our PTO masters pero ang self-rate ko talaga para sakin is 3.5 - 4.0. medyo matagal-tagal na din kasi akong naglalaro ng tennis pero yun nga lang, on-off. maglalaro for a few months then super off for a few years then balik ulit. kakabalik ko lang sa tennis this December 2009 kaya tingin ko nasa 3.5 lang talaga ako. dami pa kelangan i-brush up.
