Hello! On how to do it, toss the ball slightly to your right and hit it at the 2 or 3 o'clock position. As for the use of the slice serve, this is to put your opponent out of position since the slice serve's spin makes the ball curve left and skid when it bounces. My two cents of contribution  |

slice serve... easy gawin pero mahirap i improve para sakin... kung ipapasok lng yung bola madali lang... pero benta kapag ako ahaha... dapat bang may push un? kasi yung akin di umaabot ng baseline ahaha parang drop shot...

pre, not sure kung tama pagkaka-intindi ko ha. pero pag umabot sa "baseline" yung serve mo, di ba fault yun? the goal is to put the ball within the "service line"? tama ba? hehehe!  lupet nga e... nagpapaturo nga ako nun... yung slice serve ko d umaabot baseline... pano po ba talaga?

Ano banamang mga kalokohan yan! Slice nga e di hindi aabot sa baseline dahil palabas yung serve. Unless you're serving to the ad court at right handed ka or deuce court pero left handed ka or serve mo is down the middle.

lumagpas ng baseline yung 2nd bounce? tapos gumulong hanggang pader. pwede din kasing napakataas ng clearance sa net ng topspin serve mo tapos puro spin lang kaya moonball effect mangyayari kaya baka umabot hanggang pader 2nd bounce kaso kung ganun baka 10 kph lang yan. haha! depende dun kung gaano kalayo yung baseline sa pader. hahaha! |

the youtube instruction vids work great.. been able to do slice serves quite consistently now.. however, there is still a confusing topic in slice serves. its about the pronation. some teach (FYB) the slice with a pronation while some teach it by doing a "KARATE CHOP" Motion without the pronation that makes you do a bowing motion afterwards (kinda like when gentlemen bow when asking ladies to dance in olden times). i've been doing the karate chop version and its pretty weak but it does curve away from the opponent which can be very tricky. im hoping to learn the one with pronation because i think that is how the pros do it..that is with more power and hell lot of side spin. |

eto simple tip kasi paborito ko tong serve na ito lalo na sa deuce court. yung toss mo eh dapat medyo harap ng onti mga 1 oclock siguro. tapos yung attackmo sa ball eh sa side kung baga ang strike zone eh nasa 3 oclock ng bola . siyempre you have to take into account yung motion mo pati yung follow through after ng service motion hehe. yun lang tapos ulit ulitin mo lang hanggan alam mo na siya hehe.
