I got this from CNNSI. When Roger was asked on the prospect of meeting Nalbandian (who beat him in the Madrid Masters finals) in the third round of the Paris Masters, ito ang sinabi nya: "I prefer to play him in the second or third round," Federer said. "He shanks balls and doesn't serve that good. His whole entire game is not as sharp as later in the rounds."

O di ba? I don't know kung he's just psyching Nalbandian or this just some careless comment from The Fed, but this is way out of his reputation as a gentleman and great ambassador of the sport.

That's all.

Kanya kanyang diskarte lang yan.
Fed can afford to say what he wants, coz' he's the no. 1
Palagay ko ,its one of his strategy in maintaining  his confidence.

Siguro mayabang ang dating sa iba nung sinabi ni Roger, but I think there's nothing wrong with him expressing his personal analysis of  Nalbandian's game.  Wink

nothing wrong with what he said.

"I prefer to play him in the second or third round," Federer said. "He shanks balls and doesn't serve that good. His whole entire game is not as sharp as later in the rounds."

i think what he's saying is ... he wants to play him 2nd or 3rd round and not later than that esp
the finals. sabi pa nya ... his whole entire game is not as sharp AS LATER IN THE ROUNDS. he finds him SHARP playing in the LATER ROUNDS. so, he has a point in saying he WOULD PREFER playing him EARLY and not LATER.

he shanks balls and doest serve that good. (also in the early rounds)

he is still one of the greatest. one of the MOST mild mannered tennis player i've seen so far.

my opinion mga bros.

Yeah, I agree with ruud. What Federer meant by that was he prefer to play him on the early rounds but not later rounds as on Quarterfinals, Semi-finals and Finals... Kumbaga habang tumatagal si Nalbandian, gumaganda laro at service nya....

Panalo si Nalbandian 6-4, 7-6(3)...hehehhhe  Grin Grin Grin
Mali assessment ni Federer sa kanya,  Aces ni Nalbandian is 6 against Federer's 4 although unforced error halos the same 25 against 23... Grin Grin Grin

Sabagay, maganda rin naman nilaro nilang dalawa. Leading si Nalbandian sa 2nd set muntik mag6-4 kaso kinabahan sya kaya nagtie-break...

Saying those things work against him this time,  because Nalbandian went to the court to prove the Fed that his wrong on his assessment of Nalbandian's game. I think anybody pag sinabihan ng ganun you will really give all during the match out just to prove that  the opponent is so wrong.
