Gamit ko ngayon is Prince Precision Response Titanium, yung gamit ni P. Rafter before, 97 sq inch at 12oz weight. I have settled to it and use it as my main racket for it suits my playing style though I only had 1 pc. Since medyo luma na at hirap na makahanap ng extra, I'm planning to upgrade for a new racket.
Anyone tried the said racket? Anung model kaya ngaun ang kaparehas nya? thanks..
This is a 1999 model. As far as specs are concerned, the closest Prince racket to it is the Ozone Tour. See comparative specs below (strung):
Response Ti:
97 sq in, 330g, 65 RDC flex, 319 kg/cm2 swingweight, 7.2 pts headlight, 16x20
Ozone Tour:
100 sq in, 330g, 62 RDC flex, 326 kg/cm2 swingweight, 6.7 pts headlight, 16x18
Being 10+ yrs old, the Response would have lost a few flex points. My guess is that the current actual flex of the Response will be around 60-62. A 7-pt difference in swingweight should be negligible, and so is the difference in balance. The Ozone will have a bit more power, though, because of the slightly larger head and more open string pattern. However, these differences should not drastically affect your strokes and/or game.
As far as upgrading to other rackets, I suggest you pay special attention to the flex and swingweight of the racket being considered or playtested. Flex communicates feel and swingweight can affect the dynamics of your stroke.
Good luck on your search.
