Just a thought.
What would happen incase no one avails of the PIN? Then there wouldn't be ranking tournaments? What if sponsors would still continue to initiate tournaments for players without PIN, what would hapen then?
That could happen. Pananaw lang po ito a.From someone who don't really know the internal workings of PHILTA and tennis in the Philippines in general.
- If the player has no PIN then he/she will not be ranked and therefore will not be seeded in any of the PHILTA registered / sanctioned tournaments.
- If a player is not seeded then he will be disadvantaged such that he will play seeded players early in the rounds even if he/she in reality a top caliber player. Its like NADAL playing FEDERER in the first round of the US Open. Not good di ba?
- So its opens up a can of worms if the implementation is not good.
- Here in Australia, a player is not allowed to play in any of the the Tennis Australia tennis tournaments if one is not a current 'Registered Player'.
- Player registration is renewable yearly. Included in the registration fee is a sports injury insurance and access to discounted merchandise and tickets and priority in ticket sales.
--> Marami pang rason pero yan na lang muna. Cheers.
