Hi Guys!
Yes you have read it right! There will be a national tennis tournament for beginners and it will be anytime soon. The objective of this two-day weekend tournament is to let beginners of tennis have a shot on a national competition. National because this tournament is open for everybody in the Philippines who would want to join and qualify as beginners. You might be wondering what would be the guidelines so read on!
1. For the purpose of this tournament, a beginner is defined as a player who's been playing for a year or less from the date of this tournament.
2. The categories are Gentlemen's Tournament and Ladies Tournament
3. The format would be a single round robin on the elimination round and a knock-out system on the main draw. There will be 8 players in the main draw.
4. The scoring system on the elimination round would be 1-6 sudden death games while, 1-6 regular games on the main draw
5. The winners will receive championship trophies and media exposure
6. The fee is P500.00 inclusive of court, guest, ball pickers, umpires and lights fees, and, a free tournament tee-shirt.
7. Majority must agree that all of the participants are beginners, otherwise, there will be a 10-player-protest rule, wherein, there should be 10 players protesting that the player being protested is not a beginner anymore.
8. The tournament committe reserves all the rights to make special ruling during the tournament.
Unlike any other national tournaments, the format is knock out system so for example, when you pay for P300-P500 entry fee and you lose on your first match, you're gone, meaning, you will not have as many matches. Unlike this tournament, you are assured of 4 matches in the elimination round, so, if you made it to the main draw, you will be playing for free plus you will have a shot to make it to the national news. Cool ain't it?!
Let's make this happen! List down your names and months of playing tennis (e.g. Bobby Armillo / 10 months) for official registration. We need a maximum of 20 entries per categoty.

Yes "national" because the tournament is open for everybody from anywhere in the Philippines who would want to join as beginners. Another term would be "open". There are also team tennis tournaments around like PCA Team Tennis. For intermed, I hope someone would also take the initiative to organize such. |

magwawala kami pag sumali si ate bunso!!  moon may tinalo kanina yan isang class A at isang class B 8-1 lng score, tapos kahapon dalawang malakas na class A 8-1 lng din score tapos masama pa daw palo niya nun. whew! |
