 I do kick serves and slice serves. accurate but slow po kc eh.

One of the major keys for faster shots is acceleration, whether it is for serve, ground strokes or volleys. Timing will also help a lot. As for your serve, practice semi-flat or flat serves because it gives you faster ball flight than kick serves. Expiriment from your toss and try to find your comfort zone according to your objective.

then gradually experiment mo na ang serve mo dapat mapapasok mo iwasan mo ma double fault

  • Toss ball a foot or so in front of your left foot if you are a righty.
  • Toss ball high enough so you get full extension of your hitting arm as you make contact.
  • Don't grip the racket too tight.  Just enough to still allow you to have a loose arm.
  • Keep your head up.  Try to watch the racket hit the ball.
  • Keep the elbow of your hitting arm up to form a 90 degree angle.
  • Tuck your non-hitting arm in to your mid-section as you swing.  Don't drop your non-hitting arm to the side.
  • Make use of the kinetic chain starting from your feet to your legs, your knees, your hips, your chest and finally your arm.
  • Concentrate on making the whole motion fluid from the time you toss the ball all the way to the follow through.
  • If you did things correctly your weight should naturally transfer forward.

hmmm 2nd serve wag nyu makalakas ung wrist movement kc.. more likely baba s net kpag binagalan mu ung swing tapos wrist lng mag papagalaw...
best shot ko po serve ko... mas mgnda kung may weight transfer.. tapos kunin mo s pinakataas wag mu nmn sandyain 2mulon... baka masubsob ka... mas malking problema un..

forearm lang, also always reember to warm up your arms, shoulder and back muscles before attempting to change anything on your serve  Grin

ADDITIONAL TIPS FROM WHAT HAS ALREADY BE WRITTEN HERE.
>Our body works different from others, one person's technique may not necessarily work
 for you. Find the style/technique that you are most comfortble with , yung natural
 lang sa iyo, and work from there....collate what you have learn and try them.
>for rackets: head heavy rackets puts ommp on the ball
>ball toss: a wrong toss means loss of power.
>have a person check your technique during practice, you might be doing something wrong
>practice , practice , practice ... kung anong ene-ffort mo sa practice rally , that should be the same sa serve.

 anong pinagkaiba ng POWER and SPEED sa serve?

Pag power yung may pakiramdam na mabigat or parang bato pag nireceive mo yung feeling na parang tinutulak ka na ang result e short ball or week return. ganun ba yun?

meron din kasing napakabilis ng bolang dumadating pag receive mo tapik lang balik agad pero magaan sa pakiramdam.

When I serve, I just think of Murray serving. Basta ewan ko gandang ganda ako sa service motion niya. Pero laging net naman yung serve ko pag ginagaya ko siya. heheheh.

nagagawa ko to minsan pag nag fla-flat ako. minsan din sa 2nd serve pag tsumamba yung kick ng bola. 1st and 2nd serve ko kasi topspin eh. iniimprove ko pa kasi 2nd serve ko. tsaka maraming energy ang ma dra-drain pag nag flat. kaya di ko masyado ginagamit.  Grin Grin Grin

when i put power on my serve i toss the ball just right above mah head say 11 o'clock and upon hitting the ball i lean forward and give force to my shoulders and wrist upon impact.

at may kasamang dasal para pumasok...hehehe...

dati pare sakit ko to i always rely on my serve and pag hindi pumapasok sureshot na talo na ko. but friend advice me to not concentrate on my serve much. nung hininaan ko un serve ko na improve ko "sa tingin ko" un ball placement sa serve and ground strokes ko pero volley kahit anong practice ayaw talaga, hehehe.

kc serve lang talaga specialty ko... di pq na return ace sa buhay ko... yung 1st serve... serve tapos offense kgad...
