Correct. My basis is the current ranking points as of today from atptennis.com. With regards to the points to be earned, it is based on the tournament profile. Grandslam champions are awarded 2,000 ranking points unlike Major tournaments (ATP Masters Series) where the champion is awarded 1,000 points. Please feel free to correct if there are items missed. |

Semifinals at the top half of the draw will be played by gonzalez and soderling.
QF at the other half of the draw will be played later tonight by Federer vs Monfils and Del Potro vs Robredo.

Points after RG: 13,140 (nabawasan siya ng 1,820 ranking points kasi di nya na-defend title)
Federer's ranking points:
before RG: 10,470 (4K+ away from Nadal)
points to defend: 1,200 (as the Finalist)
possible points to be earned: 2000 (yan ang points earned kung siya ang Champion)
Points after RG: 11,270 (Kung Champion, no points earned kung Finalist lang siya)

Men's singles semi-finals later tonight starting at 7pm. Soderling "The Nadal Slayer" vs. Fernando Gonzalez sa first match. Sa tingin ko magandang laban ito.
Yung second match is the second semi-final match to be played between Roger Federer vs JM Del Potro. Magandang laban din ito.

Kahit na manalo si Soderling sa Finals, hindi pa rin ito maituturing na malaking upset kay Feds kumpara sa nangyari kay Nadal, nalaglag agad siya sa fourth round defending champion pa man din siya and tinalo siya ng lower seeded player. Sa tingin ko basang basa na ni Feds ang laro ni Soderling at dahil diyan swerte na niya umabot pa ng 4 sets... |
