I disagree with those who say that you have to be an accomplished tennis player to be the best tennis instructor.  Many elite players do not have the patience or temperment to coach.  One good example is Nick Bolletieri.  Did your know that he is a 4.0 tennis player but yet he is renowned as one of the premier tennis teachers in the world.

As you know, I am the founder and organizer of The Goodwill Tennis Tours.  Last April/May 2008 we certified nineteen Filipinos as USPTA Tennis Professionals and nineteen as USPTA Recreational Coaches.

You do not have to be certified to be a good coach but certification is an acknowledgement by the tennis profession that you have the skills to coach and that you are a student of the great game of tennis.

It is my goal to continue my tennis program for the Philippines.  My tennis program consists of the following

1. USPTA Certification:

2. Recreational Coaches Workshop - http://www.usta.com/Coaches/Recreation.aspx

3. Free tennis clinics for children and advanced juniors.

"I think ang pinaka dapat natin pagbasehan is from the great Pete Sampras himself and nothing more. Kung meron mang nakakaalam niyan kung sino ang greatest si Pete yun. The rest wala ng weight kahit ano pang sabihin nila, wla naman sila sa position at hindi sila umabot jan." -CI

Sir Elmer,
You mentioned that you certified 19 Filipinos as USPTA Tennis Professionals and 19 USPTA Recreational Coaches.
Can you give the list of their names? This is just for future reference.
