One of the most important things to remember while you are playing is to keep hydrated. Drinking before, during and after your matches.

Speed and coordination are two keys to a great game. To help build those skills, a fun on court drill is to race against your friends while balancing a ball on your racquets. It's fun to see who can make it to the finish line with the ball still on their strings

Don't get your shots technically overloaded
Natural shots are ok, trained shots are better, but natural shots trained to its finest is the BEST

A coach is your best friend when you are learning the game, so listen carefully! They've spent years on the court, so they know what they're talking about and they know how to spot and correct the things you are doing wrong.

In doubles, the best return of serve is usually low and crosscourt. In singles, the best return is deep to the backhand or forehand - whichever is the weaker side - unless the server rushes the net; in that case, return low and shallow to either side.

In doubles, POACH WHEN YOU'RE AT THE NET! It's the netters job to kill the ball!

When a steady, ground-stroking opponent insists on staying back at the baseline (far court), use a drop shot to bring him scrambling to the net. A passing shot or a deep lob then figures to win the point.

In mixed doubles
If a man is receiving a serve from the male opponent, expect him to return it to his female partner.
If a woman is going to serve, expect the male opponent to poach.

You are right on this degie This happened in the 2007 finals of the Oz Open between Serena Williams and Maria Sharapova or Masha. Serena did everything to break Sharapova's momentum which she successfully did. She even sushed or signalled to Masha to keep quiet coz of her grunting. If a player is talkative or likes loud noises, do the opposite by keeping quiet. If the opponent is so quiet, talk trash. This will destroy his/her concentration. This is UGLY TENNIS

When attacking a defensive ball and moving forward to the split step position, the movement must be continuous.
Even throughout the approach shot, top net rushers will not stop to hit this ball, but slow down and move through the shot toward the net with a skip and hop or a cross-over step.

When you are hitting against a wall or with a friend, keep count of how many balls you can hit in a row. It keeps practice interesting as you work towards improving on your best results

e Kowch pano ako "don't if not" lge. hahaha. You're technique is done by dropping your racket head on low balls instead to getting down with your knees. There's nothing wrong with it but your stroke can do better if the explosion of your shots are coming from a complete and fluid motion generated with the help of your knees.

When under pressure, try to keep your cool.
sa competetive side ba to? o nangyayari ba to sa fun ng tennis? or just pure pride? pero pag wala pa namang pinaghahawakang pangalan o kung ano mang walang nakataya e why lose cool? pwera lang kung mataas ang tingin sa sarili. pwede to. for sure mawawalan ka ng cool pag "trying to win not improving" lalo na pag unti unting tinatalo ka na ng kalaban mo siguro... di ko pa to nararamdaman sa side na yun... nawawalan lang ako ng cool pag easy shot tapos paulit ulit ang error na nagagawa ko. tapos puro double fault
