Don't forget that its all for fun. The objective is to have fun and the tennis is the medium. this is it! no more no less.... there's always a room for improving. slowly but surely... don't rush everything.

When under pressure, try to keep your cool.
sa competetive side ba to? o nangyayari ba to sa fun ng tennis? or just pure pride? pero pag wala pa namang pinaghahawakang pangalan o kung ano mang walang nakataya e why lose cool? pwera lang kung mataas ang tingin sa sarili. pwede to. for sure mawawalan ka ng cool pag "trying to win not improving" lalo na pag unti unting tinatalo ka na ng kalaban mo siguro... di ko pa to nararamdaman sa side na yun... nawawalan lang ako ng cool pag easy shot tapos paulit ulit ang error na nagagawa ko. tapos puro double fault in general yan.. when under pressure.. hahaha

When injured, REST!
In addition to Kowch Bobby's quick tip, I would like to add that by returning from an injury too early can easily cause more damage to your body. There is even a risk of suffering a completely new injury. Be patient and you should eventually be healthy.

Avoid all negative body language signals, such as slumped shoulders, dropping your head, looking to the sky in despair, etc. This will increase the motivation of your opponent while your motivation is either in decline or so high that you are loosing control

All rackets need maintenance, but make sure you pay particular attention to the grip and replace it when necessary. Worn grips not only affect your game, but make it easy for the racket to slip from your hand and become damaged.

Balls higher than the net are offensive shots while those taken lower than the net level become defensive ones.

Eye on the ball's targetThis may sound so simple but you have to understand how you want to hit the ball and its effect. Just remember that wherever you hit the ball, it goes to the opposite direction. Example, if you hit the ball on its right side, the ball will go to the left direction. Got it!

Work on your timing!
What's the use of quick footwork if you overshoot? What's the use of early backswing if you hit the ball way too early? What's the use of bending if the ball is bouncing high?
Again, work on yor timing!

I came across these instructional videos in www.youtube.com uploaded by a certain canadatennis11. Medyo kakaiba sya sa mga instructional videos na nakita ko sa net, di nakakatamad kc short video lang, madaling ma-absorb plus mga top players pa ang ginagawang example kaya mas enjoy panoorin hehe. check it out just type in the youtube search field " canadatennis11" and see the list of instructional tennis videos there! these are three videos that im really trying to practice now BACKHAND HITTING ZONE http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v_ofg8Wmrr4RALLY FUNDAMENTALS http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J88Z0pUQ0Y8FOOTWORK WHEN ATTACKING THE NET http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VhVsYP_SYj4enjoy!

During warm-ups, hit your shots down the middle of the court and see if your opponent favors one side over the other.

FOOTLOOSE
Suggestions on how to develop proper footwork and movement in tennis are include split-stepping before every shot, stepping forward with the proper foot, exploding the ball and developing better anticipation

pang old skul yan! pero effective. the objective of tennis is to hit the ball back to your opponent within the court... pero syempre mas ok if " to hit the ball back away form your opponent but within the court with different strokes so as to outwit him!"
