mikki, i saw a great site for your cure! you can go to http://www.backandbodycare.com/home/wrist/wrist.htmfor prevention, i think you just have to hold the racket properly on specific movements in tennis like forehand, backhand, volleys and the one you mentioned... overhead smash ( o baka naman sa iba mo nakuha yang injury na yan! ) it's all about proper stretching and massage to recuperate bro.. goodluck!

Di makikita yan sa xray, wala naman bali sa buto. Maraming causes yung pain. Stroke, equipment or previouse injury. Best advice, see your doctor. Malamang iparest ka muna sa tennis. Tapos therapy. Kung hindi sa stroke ang problem, text mo ako

Sharp pains on wrist (an article from andy ireland - lead physio, LTA)
wrist pain can be a problem for tennis players. pain in the wrist can be due to many things including tendonitis, tendon rupture from subluxation, tears in the cartilage (triangular fibrocartilage complex) at the end of the forearm bone (ulna, nerve conditions (such as carpal tunnel syndrome), and in children, fracture of the growth plates. these tendonitis and growth plate injuries develop over time from the constant stressess due to the snap-and-twist motions of the wrist. typically, it's found that wrist symptoms are related to stroke technique and equipment. treatment is dependent on the actual pathology, and identifying the cause. if symptoms are not too severe, try icing, rest, and using a wrist brace when playing to provide some compression and support to the tendons. in more severe cases physiotherapy maybe required. temporary or permanent grip changes might be necessary - try to avoid using extreme grips as these place excessive stresses on the forearm and wrist. also, ensure that the grip you use is the correct size for you - too small or too big will lead to excessive muscle/tendon fatigue. ensure you use good quality strings in the racket, and don't string them too tight. choose a racket which is less stiff, as a more flexible one will transfer less damagind stresses into the arm. when hitting the ball, try and strike it in the centre of the strings - the so-called "sweet spot". this will minimise any uncontrolled rotation forces and excessive vibration in the racket, and hence the arm. research shows that players often lose wrist and elbow flexibility in the dominnat arm, so stretching the wrist regularly, with a straight elbow, is important. the tendons in th wrist are relatively delicate, so stretching the forearm muscles will help improve wrist strength. try practicising exercises, such as wrist curls in all directions using weights of between one and three kilos initially, or with light/medium elastic tubing. startwith three sets of 15 repetitions in each direction, but don't do these exercises just before playing as you don't want to fatigue the muscle before hitting. also strengthen your shoulder muscles and ensure the whole body - legs, trunk, and shoulder girdle - is used in the tennis action, not just the wrist. this will help reduce stress on the wrist joint. other exercises, such as dribbling a football or basketball on the floor for 20-30 seconds, or using a gyrociser, will increase these muscles endurance and improve wrist joint stability.

hahahaha! alam ko na! sa serve kong wristy! yes! kaya di muna ako serve ok? you should pronate your forearm instead of using your wrist to snap the racket. the best cure for what you are feeling is better strokes hehe
