TOURNAMENT FORMAT
1. There will be a maximum of 3 players per category 2. There will be a maximum of sixteen (16) teams but limited to a maximum of two (2) team entry per club 3. There will be a qualifying round and a main draw
THE SCORING SYSTEM
1. There will be six (6) doubles matches per tie 2. 1-8 regular games with deuce 3. 1-7 regular tie-breaker set with two point difference at seven-games-all 4. Point system at three-sets-all wherein the total number of games won will be counted 5. One (1) coin toss on point system tie
THE QUALIFYING ROUND
1. The total number of participating teams will be divided into groups for elimination round 2. Top four (4) teams of 7th Daza Cup will have their own groups 3. There will be single round robin ties in each group 4. The matches per tie will have its court assignment 5. The top two (2) teams per group will qualify in the main draw 6. In-case of tie, point system will decide the winner wherein the total number of games won will be counted
THE MAIN DRAW
1. There will be eight ( 8 ) qualifying teams in the main draw 2. Granting that the Top 4 teams of the 7th Daza Cup qualifies in the Main Draw, seeding will apply, otherwise, point system will apply wherein the total number of games won will be counted 3. Slot assignment for the remaining qualifiers will be drawn 4. Knock out system will apply
THE PLAYER’S ELIGIBILITY
1. A player must represent a tennis team representing a tennis club in 4th District of Quezon City 2. All players must not be listed top 50 in any PHILTA, international or any other national ranking/listing in Open category in singles and in doubles from 1999 to present 3. A tennis trainer, tennis coach, tennis hitting partner may play in the Warriors category only. They are defined as those who derive income as the above mentioned titles 4. The names of the players submitted in the Registration Form are considered final upon drawing of matches. No changes will be allowed to be made 5. Player’s requirement would be proof of age for the purpose of age category (i.e. copy of birth certificate or copy of driver’s license) 6. Only club member are allowed to play.

DEFAULTING RULE
1. In the absence of registered player/s within ten (10) minute grace period from first call or scheduled time, or whichever comes first, he or she will be defaulted. The official time will be set by the Tournament Committee. Changing of players after submission of player’s entry for the day/match is not allowed. 2. Delay of submission of player’s entry for the day is highly discouraged 3. A player/team may be defaulted under Disqualification Rule
DISQUALIFICATION RULE
Player’s Disqualification
1. Failure to wear the 8th Daza Cup uniform during the first four (4) games of the official match. 8th Daza Cup uniform is provided by Hon. Nanette Castelo Daza 2. Ranked (see The Player’s Eligibility item #2) 3. Under age 4. Unsportsmanlike conduct
Team’s Disqualification
1. Failure to settle the tournament fee on the given deadline 2. Failure to comply on all other tournament requirements, rules and regulations 3. Unsportsmanlike conduct
PROTEST RULE
1. Should there be player/s or team/s being questioned by other player/s or team/s regarding any relevant matter, the latter should submit a letter of protest addressed to the Tournament Chairman 2. The protest will only be entertained if it has a proof whether it is in document or in personal representation, otherwise, the protest will not be valid 3. The Tournament Committee will decide on the protest within 24 hours; should there be pending matches while the protest is being resolved, the pending matches must resume until the team match is finished and the decision on the protest is concluded 4. Should the player/s and/or team/s be found guilty, the weight of the Tournament Committee’s decision will depend on the offense. Special ruling will be made in the presence of the involved individual or team

SPECIAL RULE
1. Should there be a rain delay, the matches: a. will extend its schedule on the same day and in the same venue b. will extend its schedule on the same day and in other venue c. will be set for another day and time in the same venue d. will be set for another day and time in other venue 2. The Tournament Committee reserves all the rights to make special ruling during the tournament
