The symptoms will go away in due time but it will remain a chronic issue if:
--- your work involves repetitive stress on the arm --- your racket, string and/or tension is not right for you --- your grip size is either too small or too large --- your backhand stroke is deficient

yes! wag na wag ka magpapahilot, they dont have the training and knowledge about any injuries, in other words di nila alam ginagawa nila, mas ok pa sana kung PT ang hihilot sayo, pero before ka umabot sa PT, kailangan may order muna ang orthopedic surgeon, they know all about your injury, thnx!

yes! wag na wag ka magpapahilot, they dont have the training and knowledge about any injuries, in other words di nila alam ginagawa nila, mas ok pa sana kung PT ang hihilot sayo, pero before ka umabot sa PT, kailangan may order muna ang orthopedic surgeon, they know all about your injury, thnx!  Kung sexy na PT ang hihilot sayo bibilis ang recovery mo in no time. Kung mga nakulam, nabati at kung ano ano pa, dun kayo sa manghihilot at albularyo hahaha

Maraming salamat sainyong lahat. Napaka concern ninyong lahat dito sa PTO forum. Nagmonitor at reading mode muna ako dito before I posted some question. Masaya ako at maraming mga mababait na members dito at concern sa kanilang kapwa manlalaro at mahilig sa larangan ng tennis.
Actually gusto ko bumuo ng Pinoy Tennis Club or Org dito. dito sa Israel.
Salamat uli sa mga advices ninyo re: my pain in my elbow at lahat ay malaking naitulong.

Try mo tanggalin yung dampener mo. Sa akin kasi, I have been suffering from on-off-on tennis elbow. Ang ginawa ko, tinaggal ko ung dampener ko as suggested by my trainor. Ngayon, ok na yung elbow ko. Pero I still have to observe my elbow pa kung tuloy tuloy ang recovery. Hehe

It's not with the dampener kaya tayo nag kaka tennis elbow. It's because mali yung execution natin and nag sa suffer yung tendon natin sa elbow.

Ang tennis elbow usually galing sa one-handed backhand kapag ang power nanggagaling sa wrist or elbow lang. pwede rin sa forehand kapag masyadong malakas ung isosoli mong bola at mahina ang muscles mo sa wrist at forearm. fastest way to remove tennis elbow is rest (up to 6 months, depende kung gaano kalala ung tennis elbow)... kung di kaya tigilin ang tennis, mag tennis elbow wrap ka muna.

Ang tennis elbow ay galing sa mga maliliit na tearing ng muscles sa area ng siko. Kung minsan, ito ay dahil sa maling strokes. Kapag mali ang stroke it puts too much stress on the arm. Minsan naman, dahil ito sa raketa. Kapag masyadong matigas, sobra din ang stress sa arm. O kaya, kapag sobra ang dalas pumalo, sobra din ang stress sa arm. Kita mo yung pattern? Bottom line, kapag sobra ang stress sa arm, magkakaroon ka ng micro tears sa muscles. Kapag lumala ito tennis elbow ang resulta. Unfortunately, ang pinaka effective na solution dito ay pahinga lang hanggang maghilom yung mga micro tears. Usually, mga 4 - 6 months na pahinga. Hindi lang pahinga sa tennis pero pati na rin sa mga activities na maaaring mag bigay ng stress sa arm. Huwag ka matukso mag laro kapag pakiramdam mo wala na. Sariwa pa yon. Kapag nilaro mo kaagad, babalik lang yon dahil mapupunit ulit. Kapag nagsimula ka na ulit, gumamit ka ng tennis elbow brace para masuportan yung muscles. Ang purpose nito ay nililimit yung contraction ng muscles mo para masiguradong nag hilom na yung micro tears mo. Maghintay ka ulit ng mga 2 - 4 months bago mo itigil ang paggamit ng tennis elbow brace para sigurado ka na na hindi na babalik yon. Based lang ito sa experience ko. Hindi ako duktor.

nangyari sa akin to nung gumamit ako ng raketa na malaki ang grip at mabigat para sa akin...pero ngayon okey na sya di ko na ginagamit yung Pro Staff.. pede naman ilaro iwasan mo lang yung mga strokes na sasakit sya.. ex. chop spin ..hehehe iwas muna sa mga slice..at volleys... ang pagsusuot ng elbow brace malaking tulong din

nabasa ko nman sa tennis.com un ginawang treatment ng doctor sa patient na my tennis elbow tinusok lng ng tinusok ng maliit na maliit na karayom un highly affected part ng elbow para daw magkaron proper blood circulation sa area na yun na nag cause ng pain.

Maraming iba-ibang paraan ang pag-gamot sa tennis elbow na mababasa o maririnig mo pero iisa lang ang objective ng mga paraan na yan - pabilisin ang paghilom ng mga micro tears ng muscles. Nandyan ang accupuncture, masahe (chiropractic), tennis elbow specific exercises at iba-iba pang therapy. Siguro barat lang ako pero ng magka-tennis elbow ako, hinayaan ko lang gumaling mag-isa. Hindi ako natagalan dahil hindi ko hinintay maging grabe. Mga dalawang buwan lang ako huminto maglaro. Siguro napabilis ng konti dahil sa pag-apply ko ng ice pagkatapos mag-tennis elbow specific exercises. Pagkatapos, mga dalawan buwan ako gumamit ng tennis elbow brace. Kahit wala na akong nararamdaman ginamit ko pa rin. Hanggang ngayon hindi pa bumabalik ang sakit. Halos isang taon na ang nakakaraan. ang experienced ko naman sa tennis elbow, ay meron masamang epekto ung mga ibang strings. hindi sa racket ang problema,kadalasan either sa wrong swing(twisting)or kaya sa strings. isa sa dalawa ang problema sa masakit na elbow. experienced ko na itong tennis elbow,kaya ginawa ko pinalitan ko ung old string ko, tapos e adjust mo ung tension. meron kaci mga strings na nakakasakit ng elbow. ang advise ko sa tennis elbow palitan mo ng ibang brand ung old string mo. madalas maalis ung tennis elbow w/in 2 or 3 weeks. madalas hindi rin tension ang problema,ang problema madalas ung string. naso-solve ung problema ko, ganuon din nangyari duon sa anak ko,pinalitan ko lang ng ibang string,tapos nawala ung tennis elbow.

i had 1 when i shift to a heavier racket (pro-staff 6.3) from a crushed S5 titanium. i tried not to overdo my swing. not too much twisting...elbow brace for a while did help controls the pain..and i also did some light dumb bells with lots of repetitions..

ako nagkaron ng tennis elbow,sabi ng mga katropang addik sa tennis kailangan may baguhen tamang racket swing,string tension at gripping now ok na tennis elbow ko...... he got it all. Malakas din makacontribute yung wrong snap ng wrist. Dapat full arm ang swinging.

ang pagkakasabi po sakin, nagkaka tennis elbow lang pag may mali sa stroke ng isang player kaya masyado na iistress yung elbow. kaya dapat, tamang technique and body movement to lessen the stress on the elbow and still have a powerful forehand or backhand.

Good advice, Sir Burosky. Three years ago I experienced tendinitis on my elbow (outer side) and was forced to take a 3-month break from tennis and switch rackets from Prince O3 to ProKennex Kinetic. I also did several elbow strengthening exercises which I learned from internet tennis sites. When I resumed playing I started to wear an armband to prevent recurrence since I play quite often and at least 3 hours each time (sometimes more than 6 hrs). Early this year I began to experience pain on my inner elbow (they call it golfer's elbow). It's not as excruciating as the one I had before so I continued to play with an armband as well as ice the elbow after playing. I still do the strengthening exercises but I noticed the pain isn't going away. Don't know if I should take a break from tennis again and rest the elbow for a few months, or continue to play but risk aggravating the problem. I felt miserable when I stopped playing tennis before. I'm also not sure if the armband I'm wearing works for the type of elbow problem I have. Just want to share this experience in this forum, I need to do some research on appropriate courses of action. Unfortunately, ang pinaka effective na solution dito ay pahinga lang hanggang maghilom yung mga micro tears. Usually, mga 4 - 6 months na pahinga. Hindi lang pahinga sa tennis pero pati na rin sa mga activities na maaaring mag bigay ng stress sa arm. Huwag ka matukso mag laro kapag pakiramdam mo wala na. Sariwa pa yon. Kapag nilaro mo kaagad, babalik lang yon dahil mapupunit ulit. Kapag nagsimula ka na ulit, gumamit ka ng tennis elbow brace para masuportan yung muscles. Ang purpose nito ay nililimit yung contraction ng muscles mo para masiguradong nag hilom na yung micro tears mo. Maghintay ka ulit ng mga 2 - 4 months bago mo itigil ang paggamit ng tennis elbow brace para sigurado ka na na hindi na babalik yon. Based lang ito sa experience ko. Hindi ako duktor.

ingat lang sa strokes. nakakabuang lang at di makapag-tennis. buti na lang maganda yung physical therapist dun sa clinic na pinupuntahan ko. at least, nalilimutan ko tennis for at least 45 minutes, 3x a week.
