Hi guys.  Happy I can have someone to talk to regarding TENNIS.  I have 3 kids, ages 11, 9, and 6 who love to play tennis. They are being called here as Tennis addicts. The 11and 9 year olds are  already competitive.  We come from the province, there's not much tournament going on here.  I want to expose them to competitions which will boost their confidence in playing.  Do you know the venue for the Prince 03 tournament on Nov. 18 and 19?  The Philta calendar just says MANILA.  Would you know of any tournament in Manila  scheduled between Dec. 20 to 30? I plan to bring them to Manila just to expose them to competitions, and perhaps find a trainor/mentor who can properly guide them in their quest for success in the field of tennis.  My kids are growing, it will be a pity if they do so without being given the proper training/exposure. I hope any of you guys can help me.Afterall, we all share thesame thing: the love for tennis.  More power guys!

Thank you so much. We come from Naga City.  I'l try to inquire at Philiam Tennis Club about the tournament you've mentioned.  I sure hope it pushes through 'coz my kids need this exposure.  My eldest had a chance 2 summers ago to train under Coach Baleng of Philam ( he just had 2 or 3 sessions with him though, needed  to go back to the province).  Any trainor you can recommend who we can meet while in Manila this Christmas break?

Hi Aidalissa!  Whereabouts in Manila will you be staying?   Other factors considered, dapat medyo malapit sa place nyo in Manila yung coach na pupuntahan mo.

Hi LVL307.  We will be staying in quezon city, along Panay Ave.  We will be there between Dec. 20 to Jan 2.  My 2 boys, 11 and 9, are already competitive, but I believe there are many more areas in their games that will need improvement/polishing, etc. We are all out in supporting them as far as Tennis is concerned, not only because we could see the talent and skills they possess, but more so because of the love and dedication they have for the sport. Matutuwa ka sa kanila, kahit family room namim ginagamit for walling.  Anyway, they are growing, sana lang tama yong training na nakukuha nila, kaya I am really looking for a coach/trainor who can PROPERLY guide them in this sport...in short, yong sanang marunong/magaling mag TRAIN.

Hi!  I think Philam in QC is the nearest.  You may contact Coach Jovy Mamawal at the Philam Tennis club.  I do not have his  number but perhaps you can send a fax to 525-2016 or email Ms. Loida Mallare of Philta (philta@info.com.ph)  to get his contact details.  You may likewise ask Ms. Loida for details on the Prince non ranking tournaments.

If your boys have joined tournaments in the past, I wonder if you would let them join the ranking tournaments this December.  Check with Ms. Loida if there are any scheduled at the Rizal Memorial.

All the best!

Ma'am Aidalissa,

I know Baleng of the Philam Tennic Club. Since Baleng trained your kid previously, I think it would be good idea to go back to him just so he can at least evaluate your kid and see how far his game has come. If you need help in contacting him, let me know. You may email me you contact numbers and I can have him get in touch with you.

Also, I would be interested in getting a detailed history of your kids tennis activity, accomplishments and goals. If you have any videos, I'd like to get a copy; or if you have none, try to videotape at least one of their matches. I know it's a lot to ask, but I might be able to help.  You're more than welcome to click on my weblink to visit my site and/or contact LVL307 to find out what I'm doing.

Ma'am Aidalissa, When I go home on Dec. 26 can I see or check your children play. I can give them pointers or If I have time I can give free lessons. If they really want to be good then I can offer my services. I want to give it back to what I owed to tennis. I'll be in manila for 2 or 3 days and go to my province 'cause I orgonized junior tournament there. If your children join the tournament I said, I may see there because I'm with the Japanese players.

Coach Camoy and his Japanese college players have played in our place, Ayala Alabang Tennis Court, for about two years now. These players were lowly ranked in Japan but they gave our top men's players a rough time.

Always all Filipino finals yan.  Nakakahiya naman sa mga top players na kaibigan ni  Palahang na sumasali pag may wrong info na nahihirapan sila.
