Babolat Tour Duralast is Nadal's actual string. Babolat says that he uses aeroprodrive with cortex and prohurricane tour strings but he actually uses aeroprodrive without cortex (the cortex is only painted on the racket) and Babolat Tour Duralast 15L. Does anyone know where this string can be sold in the Philippines? Renald? Racketwiz?

I believe this string is only available in Europe. It's not available in the States and I doubt if its available in the Phils. Maybe renald can help you with this.

Actually, Duralast is a cheap polyester string, perhaps no different than the old Babolat Strong Play (now called Ballistic Polymono). I don't know that the Duralast will give you anything different than the reasonably-priced basic polyesters that are out in the market today. But, I'm a big advocate of trying or testing anything you can get your hands on. The more things you try, the wider your basis of comparison will be. Reviews on tennis equipment is subjective as it is, and the only way to see if something works for you is to try it. What may be good according to one player may not be good for another.

You got a point there... I just wanted to know why Nadal likes it so much even if it is such a cheap dead crappy string (as most who tried it would say, but a few say it's pretty good...). By the way, do you know where I could buy Pro Supex Blue Gear hear in the Philippines??

It's the string he grew up playing with. I suppose budget was tight during his formative years. When you break strings every couple of days, it's tough on anyone's budget and/or it's a hassle to keep going back and forth to have your racket re-strung so frequently. For Rafa, I think it's a matter of being in his "comfort zone". It's gotten him this far so change is a little more difficult. There is some chatter, however, that he is experimenting with a new type of Babolat string during practice, a new formulation poly-composite that's not out in the market yet.

you do know that a lot of the tour players are using old frames with the new paint job graphics of the new releases.
